Roanoke is part of Virginia’s Blue Ridge, one of the most wonderful places to visit in Virginia. Star City headlines this region thanks to an amazing restaurant scene, fun spread all around, and for being an all-around awesome base for exploring the area.

We’ve been fortunate enough to visit Roanoke for weekends throughout the year, especially enjoying our time in spring and fall. Don’t count out the holidays, though, as the festive fun and light shows will keep you around when it’s cold outside.
