San Francisco is a magnet for activities and as a result, for people to come and enjoy them. Everyone arrives in the summer after finding an affordable flight to San Francisco. You won’t believe that it’s possible to find a budget hotel in such a popular city. Here are the best San Francisco budget hotels.

1. Hotel Abri

Since it’s in a wonderful spot, one would expect Hotel Abri to come at a higher price. Since it’s so quiet, you won’t realize that Hotel Abri is right in the middle of San Francisco’s Union Square. It’s a cozy and comfortable hotel at half the cost of its competitors.

2. The Mosser

The Mosser is not far from Union Square and stands out for exquisite rooms accompanied by perfect service. Here, you have the heart of San Francisco at your fingertips but tons to choose from inside the Mosser. Enjoy some locally caught seafood at the on-site restaurant or venture out to some of San Francisco’s best highlights.

3. Country Hearth Inn

On the other side of town in the Marina District, Country Hearth Inn is perfect in so many ways. The Marina is a hotspot, but Country Hearth Inn’s upper floors will keep the noise out. You’ll love this hotel for its comfort and scene in one of San Francisco’s most vibrant neighborhoods.

4. Baldwin Hotel

Not far from Chinatown’s Dragon Gate, Baldwin Hotel is waiting for you to come and enjoy one of San Francisco’s best budget options. It’s meant for travelers who love convenience and being in the middle of the action. Book an upper floor room and you’ll be treated to wonderful San Francisco views.

5. Geary Parkway Motel

Stay at Geary Parkway Motel and enjoy the Richmond District’s best budget offering. You’ll find nice and comfortable rooms but above all, the hotel offers free parking on-site. That’s certainly hard to top in San Francisco when searching for a convenient, cheap hotel. Step outside and you’re within walking distance of Golden Gate Park, among many other attractions.

6. Hotel Majestic

Inside a beautiful building, Hotel Majestic offers a wonderful Union Square option for those who like a classic hotel to fit within their budget. Surrounded by fun attractions, including the Ghost Hunt and not far from St. Mary’s Cathedral, you’ll certainly enjoy Hotel Majestic while staying in San Francisco.

7. Fitzgerald Hotel Union Square

Union Square and Tenderloin District visitors have so many options to choose from, but Fitzgerald Hotel is the best value in San Francisco’s best spot. Here, you’ll be able to walk outside and immediately find yourself in the middle of the city’s finest hotspots. Head back to your room and relax away from the action if you like. You won’t be able to find a better-situated hotel in San Francisco.

Now that your wallet is safe and tucked away from the more expensive lodgings, you can get started on planning the rest of your trip. Enjoy your stay in the Bay Area.

The name totally escapes me right now, but when I stayed in San Fran I picked a total budget hotel with shared bathrooms and I absolutely loved it. It was quirky and well-cared for an a great find. Too bad I can’t remember the name 😉
