Loft 101 is a wonderful place to stay and one of our favorites throughout North Carolina! It’s tucked inside a beautifully renovated historic building that’s literally within walking distance from the middle of it all. After you stay at this awesome place, we’d love to learn why you loved it, too. But first, more about the property and the people behind it! We could go on and on but had to stop at these nine reasons to stay at Loft 101 in Asheville.
Nine Reasons to Stay at Loft 101 in Asheville
This post on Loft 101 is a part of our blog’s series on North Carolina travel. It is also a part of our Hotel Guides series. In the latter section, we’ve featured places to stay, including Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Pennsylvania, Hyatt Place in Charleston, South Carolina, and more! This post originally appeared on our sister site NC Tripping. Complimentary accommodations were provided by Yonder Luxury Vacation Rentals (Yonder). This post reflects the honest opinion of our experience without outside influence.
Loft 101 is part of The Lofts at Church, a property managed by Yonder, a company with places all over the mountains and even on the Carolina coast. We’re looking forward to seeing more of their apartments and homes, based on our experiences with their awesome staff and more at Loft 101.
Loft 101 Asheville
These nine reasons to stay at Loft 101 have just about convinced us that we need to go back! Let’s see what you think.
You really can’t beat a place that’s right off Patton Avenue in Downtown Asheville. Loft 101 is literally right on Church Street and is a short walk from Biltmore Avenue, which means you’re surrounded by amazing places to eat, drink, and shop while in Asheville. You’re also a short drive away from Biltmore Estate, which we love for so many reasons!
Want to know what you can do with a weekend in Asheville while staying at Loft 101?
While staying at Loft 101, our wifi wasn’t working and we couldn’t find many of the suggested networks on our devices. All I had to do was contact someone from Yonder and they got us the info we needed, and fast. It made me feel like I could depend on the folks from Yonder for anything, even though it was something small like wi-fi. Wait, we need wifi, right?
Bonus Help: Our kind helper from Yonder also gave us a nice recommendation for some Vortex Doughnuts, so double win!
The Welcome Book
After you book Loft 101 with Yonder, you’ll receive their Welcome Book. It’s very thorough and covers everything you’ll need to know, from check-in instructions to things to do in Asheville and lots in between. They were also spot on about the parking in Asheville, which can prove challenging.
Stay tuned for our collection of things to do in Asheville for your weekend (or more) there!
From the moment we arrived and put our bags down, I knew this 2-bedroom loft was a good place.
Feels Like Home
Traveling with a baby means needing a place where we and—more importantly—our daughter will feel comfy throughout the days and, especially, nights. There was plenty of room inside for us to enjoy Loft 101. The beds were nice and comfy and there was enough space for us to put our little one’s pack n’ play in one of them. The original hardwood floors and exposed brick walls throughout were a nice touch, too.
Beyond Modern Amenities
For those of us who need to get some work done during nap time, this place is especially wonderful. There’s even a huge TV in the living room, as well as a nice one in the bedroom. If you are hanging out and just want to listen to music, there’s a dock for your iPhone or MP3 player. Thanks to all this and the wi-fi, we were able to knock stuff out and even pull off a successful #FunTravelChat on Twitter during kiddo’s nap time.
I really enjoyed the kitchen, for its granite countertop-covered island in front of the huge fridge. I’m normally a cold brew or pour-over person, so their coffeemaker with hot water dispenser was a nice change. The latter was a bonus for those times when I wanted tea over coffee. Don’t judge!
Great for a Night In
Thanks to the big refrigerator, I was able to learn about some of Asheville’s takeout options. Double thanks to being in our awesome location, I could walk about five minutes down Patton Avenue and order takeout from The Noodle Shop and then walk down to Wicked Weed and grab some beers for our night in. Loft 101 provides a French table & chairs for relaxing on Church St.
Note: beware if you’re sitting outside because the nearby Foggy Mountain Brew Pub will suck you in with their delicious wings. Definitely go for spicy when ordering, if you’re willing.
These are some extra features that offered by Yonder and Loft 101 that we think will appeal to more people beyond just us.
Loft 101 is fully ADA compliant, including wheelchair-accessible bathroom and shower. The entire place is at street level, so no worries about stairs or unexpected inclines, either. It’s great to know that they consider all travelers and hopefully, more places will continue to follow suit.
Yonder offers a five percent discount to military personnel when booking Loft 101. Yonder staff only asks for identification, such as a CAC Card or a “DD Form 2” Card. Also, when booking, type in “herodiscount” into the promo code text box. Finally, if you’ve served or are currently serving in our military, thank you. We appreciate you and your sacrifices for our country!
Our Thoughts and Yours, Too!
There are plenty of downtown Asheville hotels and apartments to choose from, plus a nice collection of Bed and Breakfasts and resorts scattered around. However, we think Loft 101 is your best ticket to a comfortable and homey way to stay in our of our favorite North Carolina cities!
If you’ve had the fortune of stay at Loft 101, we’d love to know what you thought of your time there. Let us know what you think in the comments section!
