Mr. Scott Eddy has been doing this for a while. His personal brand has allowed years of constant travel to see many of the world’s most amazing destinations. Just take a look at Scott’s social media pages and you’re likely to see him walking around a beautiful resort and snapping photos of his latest flight to somewhere exotic. This is only a snippet of what he does, there is a lot of hard work going on behind the scenes. Even beyond all that’s happening for him today, Eddy still remembers where he came from—even if he attests to having no home—and remains accessible to people like you and me. I reached out to him and interviewed him about being an influencer and achieving dreams. And I’m sure his answers will equally surprise and inspire you after reading.

Challenges and Influencers

Scott Eddy Interview

What was your biggest challenge in getting started with digital marketing and connecting with brands and agencies?

Well, the first thing I concentrated on was building an audience, because let’s face it, the agencies and brands will pay more attention to you with a good following. Twitter always has been, and always will be my primary platform, it gives me the unlimited potential to reach a global audience on a daily basis.

Do you have any specific goals related to what you’re doing as an influencer?

First off, the word “influencer” is the most overused and egotistical word on the planet. I use it because there is not another word (specifically one word) that perfectly describes what I do. To answer your question…..connect with humans, the more you connect with, the more possibilities.

Inspirations and Current Happenings

Scott Eddy Speaking at a Conference

Who do you look to for inspiration in the travel world and beyond?

I want to meet as many people as I can, in as many countries as I can, as quick as I can. Like I said, the possibilities are endless if this happens.

What’s going on with your life as an Entrepreneur, Consultant, and Public Speaker right now?

Traveling a lot since I started doing full-time influencer campaigns in January 2015, I do roughly 25–30 trips per year, and last year I flew 147,000 miles and did four cruises.

Achieving Dreams

Mr Scott Eddy

Any advice you’d have for someone who thinks they can’t do what you’re doing or achieve their own separate dreams?

If you think that way, you’ve lost already. First off you have to believe that you have unlimited possibilities in your life. Then you have to understand that you cannot do all by yourself, you simply cannot be good at everything, so you need to outsource things that give you stress and you can’t do yourself. THEN, the most important thing is your immediate circle. If the five closest people in your life are negative and unmotivated……guess where you will end up!!!!

One Last Question for Scott Eddy

I was hopeful that I could learn more about how Scott got to where he is today. I’m kicking myself for not asking him more questions because he has so much knowledge to share. For now, I’ll take what he gave me and work with that.

There was one more thing that I asked Scott about because his About page explains that he’s “a perfect example that you can overcome anything,” I wanted to know more. I asked Eddy about this and the hoops he’s had to jump through to get where he is now? Scott responded by sharing a post he wrote about his father who left the world while on duty. Honestly, I think it’s something that you should take some time to read. If not for yourself, but to share in Scott’s memory of his father and love for his family.

Mr. Scott Eddy is an inspiration to me and so many others. I’m happy that he took the time to answer my questions. What is something you’d like to ask Scott?
