If you’re looking for something to do west of the Mississippi, these three cities in Arizona’s north, south and west combine with two spots in southern California to give a perfect mix. Buckle up and prepare for non-stop fun hotels for everyone from Page to Pasadena out west.

Start your journey in Page and stay outside while you’re there. Of course, indoor savants will enjoy spots like the John Wesley Powell Museum. Photographers and outdoor lovers have tons of destinations to explore, with Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon dominating everyone’s attention for top spot to visit in Page. Choose a nice hotel like the Sleep Inn & Suites Lake Powell and sleep tight after wonderfully long days enjoying Yuma.

Yuma, Arizona

Visit Yuma on Arizona’s southwest edge. This town sits right on the Colorado River. Pack a lot of water when walking around, as it gets really hot in Yuma. Book a stay at Clarion Suites Yuma for a relaxing and convenient hotel in the city. The Yuma Territorial Prison State Historic Park and Castle Dome Mines Museum are great fun for all ages. Beat the heat and find a place along the river that offers tubing, but pack the sunscreen if you plan on being out for the day.

Lake Havasu City, Arizona

Lake Havasu City visitors have a lot of fun in store and it starts with London Bridge, which offers a chance to stare at the boats while walking on an architectural feat. Sara Park and Rotary Park are two great options for visitors looking to stay away from the more renowned Lake Havasu State Park. The latter is a very popular place to visit throughout the year, especially during Spring Break. Stay at Island Suites for the best access to these sites and more in Lake Havasu City.

West Hollywood, California

Many people come to West Hollywood for the Sunset Strip, and that’s understandable. With destinations ranging from the House of Blues to the Comedy Store and everything in between, Sunset Boulevard is the must-see spot in the area. Melrose Avenue and Robertson Boulevard have tons of shops and eateries for travelers to enjoy as well. West Hollywood is also home to Southern California’s largest LGBT community and hosts the area’s annual Gay Pride Parade. Top off your West Hollywood part of the trip with a stay at Grafton on Sunset.

Pasadena, California

Head to the San Gabriel Valley and spend some time in iconic Pasadena. Stay at Sheraton Pasadena Hotel before an awesome night out at Old Pasadena, where you can visit the best clubs and bars in the area. Get outdoors and walk toward Eaton Canyon Falls for a picturesque morning or afternoon. The Rose Bowl has something going on throughout the year, whether it’s a concert or college football game and especially for the granddaddy of them all.
