American Southern Cities from Charleston to Oklahoma City!

If you’re interested in digging into some truly charming American southern cities, then prepare for this guide. We have a great choice of destinations starting in Georgia and going all the way to Oklahoma. Here is your guide to some wonderful places to visit throughout the year!

College Park, Georgia

If you’re one of the many people who fly to Atlanta, spend some time in College Park — it’s practically part of the airport. Many people also come here for the Georgia International Convention Center’s series of events taking place throughout the year. College Park Municipal Golf Course offers a fair-priced way to work on your game while in town. When the weather is nice throughout most of the year, enjoy the sun or stars at Wolf Creek Amphitheater as a variety of acts come through its gates.

Charleston, South Carolina

Anyone who has ever visited Charleston will tell you about the picturesque Waterfront Park or Rainbow Row, and that’s just getting started with this charming city. Spend some time walking through the historic district and you’ll see that Charleston really is an outdoor person’s paradise. Hits include Middleton Place’s exquisite gardens and Folly Beach. Indoor options include a whole plethora of choices including the Charleston Museum and the Calhoun Mansion.

Biloxi, Mississippi

Head to Biloxi and enjoy Mississippi’s Gulf Coast in style. Many people come for the casinos, but there are some other fun things to do in the area. Biloxi Beach is known as a quiet way to spend a day and there’s also Biloxi Lighthouse overlooking it. MGM Park hosts the Biloxi Shuckers and Southern League baseball throughout the spring and summer. Beau Rivage Theater is a great way to have fun indoors with all the shows coming through Biloxi.

Hot Springs Village, Arkansas

Hot Springs Village is split between two counties (Garland and Saline) and two metropolitan areas (Hot Springs and Little Rock-North Little Rock-Conway Metropolitan Area) but serves as a cozy getaway for travelers in the region. There are over 10 recreational lake areas here and, aside from them, outdoor enthusiasts love coming to Garvan Woodland Gardens for its seasonal flower displays. Bathhouse Row in Hot Springs offers a great look back at America’s spa movement that led to some truly wonderful architectural achievements in this area.

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Head to Oklahoma City and experience some local culture at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. To remember those lost in the 1995 Oklahoma City Bombing, you should certainly spend some time at the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum. Myriad Botanical Gardens has a massive display of tropical plants and seasonal fun for all. Ever since the Thunder came to town, many people join along as they battle the NBA’s top teams throughout the season and playoffs at Chesapeake Energy Arena!

Are you ready to head out to these charming American southern cities? What stands out to you as the most enticing place to visit? Enjoy your trip through these amazing destinations!
